I know, I know…we’re already in the middle of May and we’re just now sending the April edition of The Heron. I’m not one for excuses, but we’ve been working especially hard to put the finishing touches on something new and exciting for our clients of PFG. We’re delighted and proud to be able to announce the launch of Freedom7, PFG’s new comprehensive financial planning process.
Designed to provide you the confidence that no stone is left unturned when it comes to planning your today and tomorrow, we developed Freedom7’s seven-step process to simplify your planning and provide clarity around your financial well-being. It incorporates many of our familiar existing tools while introducing a few new features that we believe you will find valuable in your planning. To introduce Freedom7, we’ll be featuring each step in The Heron over the course of the next several months.
Our first feature is Riskalyze©, one of the most exciting components of the Freedom7process. This online risk assessment tool uses groundbreaking technology built on an academic framework that won the Nobel Prize for economics and provides PFG’s advisors with the ability to build a tailored portfolio that fits quantified and client-specific risk requirements.
While all financial advisors strive to invest their clients’ portfolios with the appropriate amount of risk, studies have shown that many fall short as they don’t implement a consistent and proven methodology. Instead, they choose to leverage instincts when evaluating client risk thresholds. Using scientific theory, Riskalyze© assigns our clients a “risk number” based on their personal risk tolerance profile which will then be used to help construct or adjust your portfolio to align more closely and more efficiently with your risk preferences or threshold.
