Caring by nature and with a love for solving complex challenges, Brad has been helping PFG clients achieve their financial freedom for over ten years. As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, he takes time to learn about his clients’ dreams and aspirations and he consistently strives to offer solutions that are outside the box to help them get there. Brad gets a real sense of satisfaction when he hears comments like, “I hadn’t thought of it that way.” His keen sense of humor and years of experience come in handy when working with couples. “I especially love the challenge of working with couples with differing points of view regarding their finances. The topic of money for couples can get particularly challenging with varying spending priorities and a general misalignment on long-term goals,” says Brad. Always up for a challenge, he loves finding the all-important middle ground. He seeks out the gray area between the two – sometimes with very different thought processes – and prides himself on providing solutions so both spouses get some of what they want without sacrificing important joint goals.

Brad’s tenacity when it comes to solving complex financial planning issues and his strong sense of teamwork when it comes to working with couples stems from his days of playing football. Brad was Todd Wike’s teammate while playing for the University of Maryland Terrapins. He met Todd for the very first time when he was Brad’s host during a University of Maryland visit. After forging a relationship with both Todd and PFG founder and avid supporter of University of Maryland football, Larry Grabenstein, Brad reached out after graduation in search of a career opportunity. “Knowing the kind of integrity inherent in Todd and Larry, coupled with their passion for helping people, made me very interested in joining the practice and learning more from them,” says Brad.

When not helping his clients at PFG, he loves being both a husband and father. Brad and his wife, Jennifer, have two young daughters, Lucy and Jo Jo. He stays in shape going to his CrossFit gym, and he actually enjoys taking on home improvement projects. Having been a University of Maryland athlete, he attends as many Maryland basketball and football games as he can. He’s also a big fan of the Washington Capitals!
