Everyone here at PFG has also been excited to introduce all the steps to our clients during recent checkpoint meetings. We have received a lot of positive feedback, not only about how comprehensive the Freedom7 process is, but how the steps help make the entire process less complicated. As we wrap up the launch of Freedom7, our last feature is the PFG Planning Dashboard. We saved this step for last since it truly serves as the backbone for all our planning and is essentially a visual checklist of all the components that go into our Freedom7 financial planning process. As we review the many pieces that make up your financial plan, we’ll be able to check off when a planning area is complete. You may have heard us say this before, but our goal is to “leave no stone unturned.” To read this month’s feature, click here.
Fortunately, I haven’t had to address too much volatility in the markets in my monthly feature during the unveiling of Freedom7. While most of our monthly features of Freedom7 in past editions of The Heron were written during relative calm in the markets, we are starting to see some market fluctuations, and as we all know, there will be the inevitable ups and downs. Recent talk of recession, trade wars and even lower than expected new jobs in August create fear and uncertainty. When it comes to our investments, there will always be a great amount of speculation that fuels our emotions and the last thing you want to do is make difficult financial decisions during a downturn in the market. Having the right stock and bond mix is essential and getting that allocation right is a part of having a comprehensive financial plan as the best defense when there’s volatility. From understanding your risk tolerance to having the right asset allocation, we’ll use the Freedom7 process to help give you the confidence that you are situated appropriately for market ups and downs.
We also believe there’s a personal side to financial planning and a big part of making sure that your financial plan is in order is providing exemplary client care. We pride ourselves in not only having financial planning expertise, but in also being a part of a team that truly cares about our clients and is passionate about helping them achieve their financial goals. We have a fantastic team at PFG and over the next few months, we will feature a spotlight of each team member. This month, we are featuring a long time employee and PFG team member that wholeheartedly embraces clients with care and provides the utmost in service every day.
